School Information

St. Joseph's Primary School is the Roman Catholic School serving an area from Carricknowe and Forrester Park in the north, to Clovenstone in the south and to Balgreen in the east.
After 44 years in our old building, we are now enjoying the luxury of a brand new school. We share the building with Broomhouse Primary School, but both schools are run independently and maintain their own identities.
All our classrooms are in the same wing and open up on to a 'central area', which is used for artwork and other similar activities. We have a large gym hall and a well resourced library. There is a large dining room, shared with Broomhouse School Community, and meals are prepared on the premises daily. The pupils from both school eat together at lunch time and at our Breakfast Club.
Our pupils have a large playground area at the back of the school with seat areas and landscaped gardens. Playtimes are supervised at all times.
We are an associated Primary School of the St. Augustine's cluster. This means that we have close working and supportive links with St. Margaret RC Primary School (South Queensferry), St. David's Primary School (Pilton), St. Cuthbert's RC Primary School (Hutchinson), Fox Covert RC Primary (Corstorphine) and St. Augustine's RC High School (Broomhall).
